Cold start to the day this morning, especially if you were up before sunrise! Man the wind was cutting to the bone! The Westerly winds saw a drop in temperatures overnight and first thing this morning it was only 12 degrees with the wind chill dropping it even lower. On the other hand, the water temp is hovering around the 23 degree mark. Toasted! Even at 10 o’clock this morning you would have been 10 degrees warmer in the ocean than on the beach. You’ve got to get in; it’s beautiful! I took the warmer option and jumped in to shoot from the water this morning.
Cronulla stylist Jake Bevan and curator of new surfing publication Foam Symmetry Mr. Justin Bevan rolled over the bridge this morning to sample some Manly log sliders. There were some nice little 1-2 footers on offer down the south end and some wonderful Autumn light.
This weekend The Garage Sale Trail will be in full swing nation wide so get your unwanted loose change ready to exchange for something you really want. The Steyne will be hosting stands in the Seaside Bistro so if you’re cruising The Corso be sure to drop in. Up at The Sugarmill, the crew are clearing the carpark and rolling the garage door up for a whole host of local businesses.
