Yesterday afternoon was one of the most beautiful afternoons I’ve experienced in Manly.  I’m not sure if it was the 4foot+ of clean swell, the golden afternoon sunshine, the full-moon rising in the purple twilight or the fact that it was in such contrast to the grey, wet morning.  Either way, it was a special time to be out in the water or hanging on the beach.

Today’s email is a mix of yesterday afternoon’s session as well as a couple from this morning.  Once the wind settled down yesterday afternoon the waves turned into pure gold.  Winki and Bower were lining up pretty well for a South swell and even Deadman’s had a couple on offer for the experts.  This morning there’s still plenty of juice left in the swell and the wind’s dead offshore.  Good day for a mystery stomach bug.

See you in the water!

PS. Don’t forget the World Surfing Reserve Dedication tomorrow at 11am at Manly Beach (oposite the Steyne Hotel).  Kelly Slater & The Duke’s Original Sugar Pine plank will be attendance and so should you!

Any chance of bringing the sprout back to a daily account instead of one round of photos a week?
